Cookie Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
This English version is a courtesy translation. The service is provided from Brazil and governed by Brazilian law, including the consumer protection code (CDC) and the data protection law (LGPD). If the two versions differ, the Portuguese version prevails.
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Hookye only uses essential cookies, without which login, your language choice and the cookie notice itself don’t work. Because they are needed to provide the service you asked for, they don’t depend on consent under Brazilian law (LGPD, art. 7, V and IX), but you are informed about them here and in the notice shown on your first visit.
1. Cookies we use
| Name | What for | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
hookeye_session | Keeps you logged in. It’s httpOnly: no script on the page can read it. | 30 days, or until you log out | Essential, ours |
hookeye_lang | Remembers the language you chose (Portuguese or English). | 1 year | Essential, ours |
hookeye_consent | Remembers that you already saw the cookie notice. | 6 months | Essential, ours |
2. What we don’t use
We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies, social media pixels or embedded third-party content (videos, maps, share buttons). The site’s fonts are served by Hookye itself, without calling Google. The only external thing that shows up is the public picture of YouTube channels, inside the app: it comes from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address as with any image on the internet.
If we ever start using non-essential cookies, they will only load after you accept them in the notice, and this page will be updated first.
3. How to control them
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you delete hookeye_session, you are logged out; if you block it, you can’t log in. To see the notice again, use the "Cookies" link in the footer.
4. More information
How personal data is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy. Questions: contact@usehookye.com.
